In the sunshine
state of California anti-equality advocates are currently trying to get the 500,000 signatures to talk the FAIR (Fair, Accurate, Inclusive, Respectful) Education Act SB48 to the ballots for 2012 elections. The FAIR Education Act as it stands takes effect on January 1, 2012 was passed earlier this year. The anti-lgbt advocates are trying to strip the
LGBT language from the bill. Currently the bill requires the schools in that state to teach about the contributions of the LGBT and
Handicapped in our society.
